Meet the Team Monday: Business Development Representative

Happy Monday everyone – and what a happy Monday it is! It’s Easter Monday, and our staff are currently off at the minute (our office is closed tomorrow as well).

We have another instalment of our Meet the Team blog series, and this week we’re talking to our Business Development Representative, Nicole. As we always say, we love showcasing our talented, growing team at Zymplify. We have such a wealth of digital skills and gurus in-house, and we can’t wait to see how our team will grow in the future. If you would like to see any of our current vacancies, check out our Careers page here.

Now, let’s find out more about Nicole…

What is your position at Zymplify?
Business Development Representative.

How long have you worked here?
I’ll be here for 1 year on the 28th of May.

What does a typical day at Zymplify involve?
Lots of calls, lots of emails, lots of snacks and lots of laughter.

How/Why did you get into Digital Marketing?
I studied French & Spanish at Queens and didn’t know what to do with it but I knew I didn’t want to teach. I saw a masters in Communication, Advertising & Public Relations was running at University of Ulster, applied, got accepted and went on to have the best year of my life. I fell in love with Marketing and PR and the theory behind it, and the rest is history. I thought it would be a good way to use my languages, but I haven’t used them once.

What did you study at university?
French & Spanish BSc, MSc Communication, Advertising & Public Relations.

Tell us what you enjoy the most about your job?
The people I work with are amazing, but I love that I learn something new every day and that there is ALWAYS so much to get done. I like to be busy. I also love showing customers how they can grow their business through effective marketing, a lot of people don’t realise the potential they have so it’s rewarding to show them that the sky’s the limit.

What’s the most challenging part?
Time management for sure, there’s just not enough hours in the day!

What kind of skills do you think you need to succeed in Digital Marketing?
A strong work ethic, buckets of patience and be willing to take a chance on the unfamiliar.
